Saturday, June 25th, Sheriff Tompkins attended the Recovery Thoughts Addiction Awareness, Inc. Walk and addressed the crowd. Reflecting on his experience at the event, which was characterized by resilience and support, Sheriff Tompkins pondered on the themes of "trial and triumph".

"It was at once heartbreaking and heartening to hear all of the powerful stories of addiction and loss as they were transformed into stories of success by people who have achieved and are maintaining their sobriety and drug-free lives at the Recovery Thoughts Addiction Awareness, Inc. Walk. I commend Nick Moulaison, Julie Lynch and everyone at Recovery Thoughts Addiction Awareness, Inc. for the stellar work that they do to help people who are struggling with addiction to begin taking their lives back and overcoming this illness", said Sheriff Tompkins.
