Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins joined fellow awardees at the 24th Annual Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts' Gala. The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts (ULEM) annually honors several great community leaders that empower communities and this year celebrated CEO and President Darnell L. Williams' 15 years of dedicated service and impact. Sheriff Tompkins was selected as a recipient of the Lee F. Jackson Award and he expressed his immense gratitude.
"I am deeply gratified to have been chosen as a recipient of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts' Lee F. Jackson Award", said Sheriff Tompkins. "I want to congratulate all of last night's awardees and thank everyone who helped to make the night truly special. To Darnell L. Williams, it was an honor to be there live to help celebrate you for your 15 years of service to the people of Massachusetts. You've been a dedicated champion and I wish you 15 more years, and then some. Congratulations and carry on, my friend."
